ASC volleyball to hold open tryout

ALAMOSA, Colo.— The Adams State College volleyball team will hold an open tryout for interested high school seniors and potential junior college transfers on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008 from 12-2 p.m. There is no cost for the tryout.
Free campus tours are also available preceding the tryout from 10:30-11:30 a.m. that day.
Interested players should contact assistant coach Chelsea Harmon or head coach Lindy Mortensen for more information or to sign up. Both can be reached by phone at (719) 587-7456 or by email at chelseaharmon@adams.edu or lindy_mortensen@adams.edu, respectively.
Interested players should also fill out a player questionnaire on ASC’s official website at: http://ascgrizzlies.athleticsite.com/recruiting.asp.
Per NCAA regulations, students who are attending or have attended other 4-year institutions must have transfer releases on file prior to contact by the ASC staff.
In 2007, the Grizzlies posted a 15-14 record while advancing to the semifinals of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament. The Grizzlies lose three seniors of that team but will return the services of All-Southwest Region selections Darcy Jennings (Lakin, Kan.) and Andrea Tuck (Erie, Colo.).
