Free tickets available for ASC students venturing to Silver City
SILVER CITY, N.M.— The first 100 Adams State College students to arrive at the Western New Mexico University Fieldhouse for Friday’s Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Shootout Quarterfinal men’s basketball game between the Grizzlies and Mustangs will receive free admission thanks to the RMAC office.
Students wishing to receive the tickets must present a valid ASC student ID to take advantage of the opportunity. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the teams, who both went 12-7 in RMAC play, to commence the battle at 7:30 p.m.
Adult tickets will be sold for $7 while children 6-12 will be admitted for $3. Children 5 and under are free.
The two teams split regular season games with each winning on the other’s home court.
Those that can not make the game can listen to it on a delayed basis on KSPK-FM (103.5 & 104.1 in Alamosa) and via the internet at www.kspk.com.
Plans for the distribution of 100 free student tickets for ASC’s Friday night women’s quarterfinal game at Metro State in Denver are also in the works and will be announced when they are finalized.
