The Grizzlies, 18-9 overall, have set an NCAA Division II era (1992-93/Present) record for single-season wins and enter the RMAC Shootout quarterfinals as the fifth seed. The Grizzlies will face No. 4 seed Western New Mexico (16-11), which like the Grizzlies, finished RMAC play with a 12-7 mark.
The two teams have split regular-season games with each winning on the other's home floor. Tip off is at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and can be heard on a delayed basis on KSPK-FM (103.5 & 104.1 in Alamosa) and via the internet at www.kspk.com.
