RMAC Volleyball Release #11

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.— Click here to view the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference’s 11th weekly volleyball release of the 2009 season. Include in Monday’s release are results from last week's matches, player of the week selections, conference schedules, news & notes from around the league and a look at the American Volleyball Coaches Association Top 25 poll.
The bracket for the upcoming Nov. 12-14 RMAC Tournament in Kearney, Neb. is also included. The Adams State College Grizzlies (12-13, 9-8 RMAC) have clinched a spot in that tournament and can be the sixth, seventh or eighth seed depending on results from the final week of regular season play.
The Grizzlies will play twice during the week hosting Western New Mexico, which is currently 11-13 overall and 9-7 in RMAC play, just a half-match ahead of the Grizzlies on Friday before hosting New Mexico Highlands (1-25, 0-17 RMAC) on Saturday. Both matches begin at 7 p.m. in Plachy Hall. Friday's match is Parent's Night and Saturday's will include Senior Night festivities as the Grizzlies' lone senior, 6-foot-1 middle hitter Darcy Jennings-Calkins (Lakin, Kan.) will be recognized.
