RMAC Men's Basketball Release #7
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-- Click here to view the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's seventh weekly men's basketball release of the 2009-10 season. Included in Monday's release is a look at conference standings, recent results, RMAC Player of the Week selections, news & notes from around the conference and a look at the RMAC's preseason coaches' poll, national rankings and a complete game schedule for all the conference teams.
Teams from the RMAC West Division went a combined 8-4 against teams from the East during the second of four weeks of interdivisional play.
Although conference play does not resume until Jan. 8, RMAC teams will still be busy throughout the Holiday season. The Adams State College Grizzlies, who are now 3-6 overall and 1-3 in RMAC play, are amongst that group and will play three non-conference games during the break, including this Saturday match-up against nationally-ranked Winona State.
The Warriors, who won 2006 and 2008 NCAA Division II National Championships while advancing to the championship game in 2007, are 7-2 overall. They were ranked 17th in last week's National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II Poll.
Grizzly fans that can't travel to Winona, Minn. for the 7 p.m. CST (6 p.m. Mountain) contest in the Warriors' McCown Gymnasium can still listen to the game on KSPK-FM (104.1 in Alamosa) and via the internet at www.kspk.com.
