RMAC Men's Soccer Release #5
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Click here to view the fifth Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s soccer release of the 2010 season. Tuesday’s release includes standings, upcoming schedules, news and notes from around the league, recent results and a look at national and regional polls.
It’s a quiet week for the conference but action resumes on Friday and Sunday as all nine league teams will be in action. The Adams State men (0-7, 0-4 RMAC) will be on the road for their first two away games of the season. On Friday afternoon the Grizzlies will see one of the league’s three nationally-ranked squads, No. 7 Metro State (6-1-2, 3-0-2 RMAC), in Denver. Then on Sunday, the Grizzlies will have a rematch with the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves (4-4, 3-1 RMAC) who hung for a 1-0 win in the first meeting between the two teams.
In addition Metro State, the RMAC is represented in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national poll by Colorado Mines, ranked No. 1, and the 19th-ranked Regis Rangers. The Grizzlies will face Regis twice during in the coming month, hosting the Rangers on Oct. 9 and facing them on the road on Oct. 22. ASC will also be on the road against the Orediggers for a match on Oct. 17.
The league also continues to dominate the NSCAA Men’s Soccer Central Region Rankings, occupying all six spots. Mines sits atop the list, followed by Metro State, Regis, Fort Lewis, Mesa State and CSU-Pueblo.
