RMAC Volleyball Week 2 Release
Grizzlies, off to best start since 2007, head to Grand Junction for four more this weekend

Monday’s release includes league standings, RMAC/Baden Players of the Week, a list of upcoming matches and recent results, news & notes from around the league as well as a look at national polls.
The Grizzlies equaled their best start to a season since going 2-2 to start the 2007 season. That year, Adams State earned an opening weekend split while hosting their won Best Western Alamosa Inn/Grizzly Inn Volleyball Classic.
ASC won their morning match on each day of this past weekend’s West Texas A&M Lady Buff Classic in Canyon , Texas, but struggled in their afternoon and evening matches. Friday morning saw the Grizzlies cruise to a 25-20, 26-24, 25-22 win over Texas-Permian Basin, and on Saturday it was another quick win against Texas Women’s University by a 25-19, 25-16, 25-16 tally.
Junior hitter Dominique Davis (Denver, Colo.) led the Grizzlies with 50 kills during the four-game weekend, including reaching the double-digit mark in each of the weekend’s final three matches. Davis was on fire during the Saturay a.m. match against TWU, with a weekend-high 16 kills in three sets while hitting at a .448 clip. She got plenty of help from sophomore setter Gabriella Rifilato (Bayfield, Colo.), making her first appearance as a Grizzly after transferring from North Idaho College. Rifilato tallied 131 assists over the weekend and committed just one ball-handling error.
This weekend ASC will wrap-up its non-conference schedule at the Colorado Mesa-hosted Holiday Inn Crossroads Classic in Grand Junction, Colo.
