RMAC Volleyball Week 3 Release
6-2 Grizzlies set to begin RMAC play at Plachy Hall Thursday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Click here to view the third Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) weekly release of the 2011 season, released Monday by league officials.
The weekly release includes league standings, RMAC/Baden Players of the Week, a look at upcoming matches and recent results, news & notes from around the league, as well as a look at regional and national rankings.
Adams State wrapped up its most successful weekend in available history this past weekend, sweeping its four matches at the Colorado Mesa-hosted Holiday Inn Crossroads Classic to improve to 6-2 overall on the season. The Grizzlies were the only team to win all four of their weekend matches, claiming victories over Academy of Aart (Calif.), St. Anselm (N.H.), Dixie State (Utah) and the University of Mary (N.D.), going no more than four sets in a single match.
Entering RMAC play, the Grizzlies’ 6-2 record is tops in the West Division and third-best in the entire conference. Adams State begins conference play this week at Plachy Hall with Colorado Christian on Thursday, Colorado Mines on Friday and 5th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney on Saturday.
The Cougars will enter Plachy Hall with a 3-6 mark, the Orediggers at 6-3 and the Lopers with an unblemished 9-0 record.Thursday and Firday’s matches will get underway at 7 p.m. in Plachy Hall, while Saturday’s showdown with UNK will start at 4 p.m.
Fans unable to make the trek to Plachy Hall for the matches can catch the action as it unfolds thanks to live stats or by watching on subscription-based America One. Thursday and Saturday a live broadcast of the matches can also be heard on KSPK-FM (104.1 FM in Alamosa or on the web at www.kspk.com).
