The Grizzlies dropped a pair of RMAC matches last weekend, falling to now 2nd-ranked Fort Lewis, 6-1, on Friday before dropping a decision to Colorado Mesa on Sunday. ASC became just the second team this season to score against the Skyhawks as Andrew Hinkle (Rio Rancho, N.M.) scored his first career goal in the match. On Sunday, Erik Henrickson’s (Burley, Idaho) goal at just a minute and 21 seconds into the contest was the fastest ever in ASC men’s soccer history.
This weekend the Grizzlies will play at ASC Soccer Field in front of a home crowd for the first time since Sept. 9, hosting 17th-ranked Metro State at 3 p.m. on Friday, before taking on CSU-Pueblo on Sunday. On Sept. 16, the Grizzlies faced the ThunderWolves in Pueblo, and ended up on the short side of a 1-0 score.
